Way To Go

The brief

How can we stay true to our core business and our values while building a new type of business model. That was the initial ask to Redmind. Over the last few years, Way To Go has built its reputation as one of the few ethical and transparent food deliveries brand on the Swedish market. Making sure that they continue to deliver outstanding service to their customers as they embark on their next evolution the company recognized that they needed help.

Way To Go

Developing the concept

Collaborating closely with the Way To Go founders Redmind created a Product and Business strategy where customers, vendors' digital, and physical perspectives are glued together. Based on McKinsey’s Three Horizons of Growth we designed a smart platform enabling Way To Go to maintain and defend their core business and start nurturing emerging businesses seamlessly across the whole customer journey.

The work and mindset of the people at Redmind makes them the ideal partner to build something with, everyone was very engaged and generous with ideas and suggestions

Way To Go

Our solution

The apps were built with React and React-Native. This allowed for a mostly shared codebase between three very different applications all built for different devices. On the backend side of things we built a serverless system using Node.js within the Google cloud platform. We integrated with Stripe to handle payments and Onfleet to handle delivery logistics and driver management. With all of this in place customers can make purchases from multiple marketplaces at once and view their delivery in real time. Meanwhile the admins are managing their content easily with a system based upon extending configurations and reusing content groups to allow for maximum reusability.

Way To Go

WayToGo brought many interesting challenges to the team. The project put a lot of pressure on us as engineers as we had to architect and implement a tailored solution in an industry new to us. The best part is working closely with the stakeholders at WayToGo which allows us to experiment and iterate quickly on new ideas.

Way To Go

The outcome

Within a year of working with Way To Go, we helped build a software platform from scratch, established a new approach in delivery logistics. We continue to work with them to support the web platform and mobile app.
